Hello Impact Fairfield County Members!

As we near the beginning of our 2023-24 Impact FFC grant year, we are gearing up for our support of the nonprofits with the grant application process. Our plan is to invite nonprofits to participate in a 25 minute proposal brainstorming session on Wednesday, October 11th (with extra slots offered on the 12th, if needed) where we can serve as a sounding board for the organization to “brainstorm” their ideas (1 or 2) to an experienced Impact FFC team member and receive feedback. They will also have the opportunity to review and ask questions about the initial grant application (the Letter of Inquiry “LOI”).  Our goal is to help clarify and develop the nonprofit proposals and have Impact FFC receive higher quality applications.  We have offered the workshop for the last few years, and it seems to really be helpful to the nonprofits and our process.

Therefore, we need your help!  We are seeking volunteers for each of the sessions.  The workshop will be held virtually via Zoom. The first session of the day will be at 9.30 am and then every 30 minutes until the final slot at 2.30pm. Ideally, we are looking for volunteers to cover 2 hour shifts or 4 sessions (although we are flexible on timing based on your availability). We will prepare an agenda for workshop volunteers and hold a brief optional training session on Wednesday, September 27th at 9:30 am via Zoom so each workshop volunteer is prepared to guide these informal conversations.

Impact FFC Proposal Brainstorming Workshop on Wednesday, October 11th Time Slots:

  •  Volunteer Slot 1 -  9:30 am  - 11:30 am (cover Sessions 1-4)
  •  Volunteer Slot 2  - 11:30 am - 1:30 pm (cover Sessions 5-8)
  •  Volunteer Slot 3 - 1:30 pm - 3:00 pm (cover Sessions 9-11)

Please RSVP for the volunteer slots that work for you and reach out to use with any questions.  The more flexibility you are able to provide, the easier it will be for us to match you with interested nonprofits.  Thank you so much for your participation.  We look forward to a fantastic grant year ahead!
